KIDDIELAND

The most beautiful music in the world is the sound of children laughing.

Did you know Kennywood was one of the first amusement parks to have a special area for young children? In 1923, miniature versions of the Whip, Carousel, Ferris Wheel and a swan swing were located next to the Jack Rabbit. In 1927 the kiddie area moved to its current location. Today the little 1923 Mangels Carousel (a.k.a. Merry-Go-Round) remains fully intact. The original Ferris Wheel structure remains, with cars replaced in 1972. A vintage miniature Whip from Boston's defunct Paragon Park replaced Kennywood's Kiddie Whip after it was destroyed in the 1975 Dance Hall (Ghost Ship) fire.

Like the "big park", Kiddieland keeps the best of the old, while adding the best of the new. Today Kiddieland offers a variety of rides and games... all ready to offer your tots a fun and memorable experience. Here's a sampling:
