The best place to spend Independence Day in Pittsburgh is Kennywood, the best amusement park in Pennsylvania! Our most patrotic event of the season, Celebrate America, returns for four straight days of Fourth of July festivities July 1-4. For you, that means for tons of special activities, extended hours, entertainment and more in addition to a special offer for military members and their families. Here's our top 7 reasons you should visit Kennywood's Celebrate America in 2022:

Fireworks are BACK at Kennywood in 2022 for the first time in three years! The show begins near the Lagoon at 10:15 p.m. nightly. Look toward the Racer for the best view! Plus, be sure to stop by on Sunday, July 3 for our special extended fireworks show. 

We know yinz love night rides: so, during Celebrate America, we're staying open later! Join us for 12 straight hours of Kennywood memories each Celebrate America date: we're open all the way until 11:00 p.m. July 1-4!

Kennywood salutes our nation's servicemembers with FREE admission during Celebrate America! All military members — active duty, retired and veterans — get in free with a valid ID. Military members can also purchase up to four (4) discounted tickets for family and friends for just $39.99 each at the Main Gate.

It's one of Kennywood's cutest traditions: the Annual Wiener 100! Join us Saturday, July 2 at the Garden Stage at 1:00 p.m. for everyone's favorite dachshund dash. Cheer on the pups as we find out who's top dog in 2022.

All through the park, you'll find roaming magic acts and spectacular street performers! There will be jugglers, stiltwalkers, magicians, even a barbershop quartet! Plus, enjoy face painters and glitter tattoos from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. all four days.

Celebrate America also brings woodcarving to the Lagoon, in between the Jack Rabbit and Racer. There will be all sorts of different intricate displays to check out as you meander along the midway.
