Kangaroo Returns to Kennywood

Of all the Kennywood rides and attractions, the Kennywood Kangaroo is likely the most beloved of them all. This is, in part, because the Kangaroo has been bringing smiles to people’s faces since 1962. Thanks to its extensive history at Kennywood, multiple generations of Kennywood visitors have hopped on the Kangaroo.

It is for that exact reason why so many were saddened to see the ride retired in 2020, alongside three other Kennywood rides, including Bayern Kurve, Paratrooper, and Volcano.

After being out of commission for two long years, Kangaroo is bouncing back into action! But it isn’t just being reinstalled. The Kangaroo ride has been completely refurbished and underwent extensive modernization to ensure that this ride can keep carrying Pittsburgh’s little joeys for several more generations.
